For homebuyers

Know the Sewer Line Before You Own It

A sewer replacement in New York can run into five figures, and it is not covered by a standard home inspection. A camera inspection is the only way to see the line before it becomes your responsibility.

Our standard inspection follows the sewer line downstream from an accessible house trap or cleanout toward its connection with the public sewer main in the street, as far as access and pipe conditions permit. It includes recorded video, photos of significant findings, and a digital inspection summary.

Not included: Interior drain stacks, individual fixture drains, and building drain piping upstream of the inspection entry point are not included. The public sewer main itself is not inspected.

01

Under contract

Schedule the sewer scope as soon as the inspection period starts — availability tightens at the end of the window.

02

Inspection day

We can usually run the camera the same day as your general home inspection. You don't have to be there.

03

Results

Recorded video, images of significant observations and a written summary, typically same day.

04

Your decision

Share the footage with your agent, attorney or a licensed plumber. Ask for a repair, a credit, or move on with confidence.

Independence

We Inspect It.
We Don't Repair It.

NY Sewer Cam exists for one purpose: to inspect and document sewer lines.

We don't replace sewer pipes, excavate yards, clean drains or sell repair work.

That means our business does not depend on finding something wrong with your sewer.

Inspection is our service — not a way to sell you another service.
